Crain's: Solar Shines in Survey

A poll to be released today by the Solar Jobs Coalition will show 81% of New York voters support a solar-jobs bill in Albany that would require the state to produce 3,000 megawatts of solar energy annually by 2021—enough to power 460,000 homes. A surprising 85% said they would pay more for electricity to ensure New York produced more solar power. “Utility companies have been trying to scare up the idea that solar is too costly,” an insider said. “Clearly, their tactics haven’t worked.”
